Draytek miniVigor128 USB ISDN Modem + Newest Linux Kernel

    Hello,
    I'd like to use my Draytek128 USB ISDN modem (I believe eircom bundles these) under Slackware - The newest linux drivers released by draytek are for kernel 2.4.18, whereas I'd like to use the newest (2.4.23) kernel. Has anyone been able to do this?

    Unless you write your own drivers, you're just going to have to wait until new drivers are released for your kernel. Sucks but eh, what can ya do.

    You could try insmod -f m128.o probably with a full path.
    It'll complain, but it might work.
    I had one last year and the module did run
    OK with a slightly newer kernel.

    Most likely, you'll have to wait and hope they bother.
    Dump the modem if you can.
    Eircom used to also do a Lasat USB modem,
    which works fine with the acm module.
    You might find one of those.
    I picked up an ISA US Robotics Sportster TA for a tenner.
    Totally different ball game!
