skyplus and tv link

Do you have to have a second Skyplus remote control to operate the Skyplus box from a second TV through a TV link, as opposed to using a standard remote control, as I could not get the skyplus box to respond to a standard remote control either directly or through a TV link. I have not yet got the quad LNB set up I was only trying out the Skyplus box as an ordinary box.

If a second Skyplus remote control is necessary are they available singly ?

A Sky+ box will only work with a Sky+ remote control. I imagine this also applies with a TV link.

Thanks for that-but can extra Skyplus remotes be bought separatley ?

Yes they can but i've not seen any at a reasonable price in Ireland yet

Try ringing Finley Communication in Mullingar, they are the people who install Sky + for Sky here in the Republic
