    Hi all,

My SE T610 has just decided to turn itself off and not turn back on again... Ive been trying for about 20 mins now but no joy..

There was plenty of juice left in the battery..

Over the past few days the hourglass icon was appearing when accessing menus and stuff.. not sure if it could be related..

ive tried all the obvious things.. take out the battery put it back in, clean the contacts etc.. no joy on that front..

has this happened to anyone else?

Yup it happened to me to. Does it give a single beep
when you press the on button??. It used to do that
when it happened to me. Curious thing was it would
only happen after I disconnected the battery and
then replaced it. Once it had beeped once the first
time afterwards I tried to turn it on, after that it
wouldnt beep at all again until I removed the battery
    again etc.

I was sure I was properly focked cos I got a friends
battery and tried it in mine and it didnt work, and
I put my battery in his phone, and his didnt work.

I rang the SonyEricsson support line and I had to
send it back to Celestica in the UK. I got it back a
week and a half later repaired, but without any
explanation of what had gone wrong.

Since it was within warranty, the only cost was the
postage in sending it to them...
