Sky Full Package Promotion.

    Did anybody else get this offer in the post. Upgrade from the family pack to the Sky world pack and get the first 3 months for for just €43.50. This increases to €44.50 after 1st Jan 2004. My understanding is thatonce your 3 months have passed you can drop back without any hassle. This sound ok to me especially due to the fact that I am already paying €34.00 per month I have skysports extra on its own for Champions league. I get the rest of my soccer from 30W.

    Yes received this offer in the post yesterday. Was very confused at first (no I know it is not hard:rolleyes: ) but the heading had something like "SKY + World package" and I thought it was advertising Sky+... they would want to be careful there.

    I chucked it in the bin because I thought you would have to keep it for a year, but if you can roll back after three months... Is €44.50 good value for what they are offering?

    I also thought that is was something to do with sky+. I
    can confirm that you are only have to keep the full package for one month that is all. After the three months are up in my case the 8th March I can drop back to the Family package without any hassles.

    Hi Leonard,
    Is there any promotion number on the letter you got?
    I'm waiting for my card to arrive this week from Sky with just the family pack on it. I might call them and see will they give this offer to me when I get the card.

    Is anybody else having the same problem as me. I am trying to upgrade with this special offer but when I get to the upgrade part of the phone call the line cuts-off?:confused:

    Yes the very same thing happened to me. All you have to do is press the option for downgrading your package.

    rang customer service said i did not get a special offer but wanted to take up the package she told me i couldnt unless i got the offer i said i would cancel the whole sub but she just said well give them 31 days notice then. no luck there then. i wonder if i pressed the option to cancel would they give me the upgrade. by the way your right about the upgrade option on the customer service menu it just hangs up on you. dont bother pressing that option ./

    So what criteria are they using to decide who gets a chance to uptake the offer?

    Are people getting different codes or is the code for the offer one and the same in all letters?

    took them up on the offer last wednesday, I had changed my package from family to family + movies last week, then the flyer arrived in the post last monday. Threw it in the bin, slept on it and dug it up the next morning. Free sky sports for a couple of months, yahoo. Its obviously a marketing promotion to get customers who only have the family package to upgrade, x amount will keep the new channels after the 3 months, but not me...i'm too tight:D

    they get enough money out of me as it is...

    Sky are also sending out letters to people who have previously subscribed offering 3 months at half price if you reconnect.
    €30 Sky world with sky family pack.
    €26 Sky family pack with Sky movie world.
    €24.50 Sky family pack with Sky sports world.
    €13.49 Sky family pack.

    it depends on whether you are one of the lucky few that their computer picks at random for the promotion i unfortunately am not and cannot avail of the offer even the threat of cancelling my subs dosent make em offer it to me seemingly they have a telemarketing dept that sends out these to the chosen few.
