As a new internet user im on the web constantly on my home phone line(i know the novelty will soon wear off) my queston is when im on line will this prevent my digibox from preforming callbacks, i dont want a "nasty" letter from sky that i've seen talked about on these pages.i seem to recall somebody saying i should have no problem as the signal comes from the sat and the box calls the no when line is free....is this true?

had a problem with boxoffice a few weeks back and the guy from sky could list out details of about six callbacks since i got it in september(he just rattled them off,too quick to know if there was a pattern). its in the contract, you have to keep it connected, im a new customer so i think this applies in particular to the first 12 months.

DO NOT TAKE THIS AS ADVICE. IT IS ONLY A THOUGHT

i have heard of people who say they didnt realise the digibox was disconnected and Sky just told them to put it back in

I'm only with them a year and yes it is in the contract as i said i only put in the phone line to order pay per view which isn't very often. To be honest I don't know what u mean by call backs all i know is i didn't feel comfortable with the phone line in (Big Brother and all that).
they haven't written about it or called..Nothing

what are the callbacks is it when u order something the digibox calls back?
if this is the case then if ur on the net the phone line is tied up,so if someone else in the house wanted to order i presume you would have to log off the net

The important period is the first month after that all they will do is ask you to re connect, at least that has been my experience so far.

As far as I know they do Callbacks to ensure your box is at the address and phone no. that you specified and not in Spain or somewhere(some of my mates did this previously before it was a requirement to keep the phone connected).
