#fortress.ie is undergoing a bit of a revival at the moment. A few of us have gotten sick of the way #boards.ie is being run and want to return to the good old days of nuggets of poo and crusty tampon conversations.

Anyone who remembers the way things used to be and wants the return of the !pr0n scripts, black studded dildos, poo stained forks and all the usual old trimmings, please join and show your support.

But wasn't fortress.ie just a channel for players of CS and TFC? In that sense, is it really of that much interest to 50% of the posting population? And a few oldschoolers wanting a rivival of the 'Good old days' of the channel being of perhaps less interest to them?

I'm not trying to poo-poo the channel mind you, it was a great laugh back in the day, but the channels problems perhaps lie with the fact that the popularity of CS might be dwindling, and intrest in TFC all but non-existant?

#boards.ie is of interest for all boards heads who want a natter with other boards heads.
#fortress.ie doesn't seem all that inviting, or essential anymore.

In fairness, a considerable amount of the old-skool fortress heads didn't play CS or TFC. And of those who did, few used #fortress.ie as a place to discuss it. It was never "essential", and only interesting if you prefered toilet humour to "ASL?". #fortress.ie was a den of filth and depravity - nothing more, nothing less. For that reason, it won't interest anywhere near 50% of the postings population.

But hey, that's a good thing. I mean, just look at #boards.ie!

I can remember when people actually talked about TFC in fortress.ie, of course that was bound to dry up once there was nothing left to say about it... then there was the CS muppet invasion that pretty much finished it off IMO. (/me points at shinji and laughs.)
