Freedom of Speech

I'm here to protest against the behaviour of one of the boards administrators, his name being devore. I recently posted a threadhttp://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=127832 which at times got very heated but no vulgar language was ever used and it was mostly just good topical banter. He decided to close down the thread even though it was proving to be very popular and thus preventing regular board members from voicing their opinion. The last time I recall we lived in a free country with freedom of speech.
I challange devore (the admin) to reply to this post and explain his actions. Boards.ie is on of Irelands best websites and untill recently was free from censorship, I hope in the future it will remain that way and not fall into the control of neo-nazi admins.........................................................................................................

If your regarding your thread about Dublin descrimination I suggest you stop right there. The MOD was acting by the rules, it was just a showcase for you to prove how inbred you are. Just leave it and move on.

And please stop sending me abusive PMs...

Nowt : Nothing. It may be slang, but it's spelled correctly.

• Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,186 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

It's pronounced newt.
And is slippery.
Like an eel.
Which sounds like elf.
I think I'll go to the movies.
But what will i see?

Neat cattle, obviously.

... or a common (old) slang term for the word "nothing".

There's nothing wrong with using the word "nowt". If you're going to correct someone, you really should try to make sure they're not already correct in the first place.

Tch.

No. It's nowt. As in mancunian slang for nothing. Clueless punk.

Punk rhymes with funk.
I like funk because I can boogie.
But I need a certain song.
Any suggestions?

Indeed. I sometimes use it (only when typing though, never when talking). It feels comfy (like a worn plaid shirt). "Summat" as well. I draw the line at "Ar" though.

As for the first poster, read the email you got from boards when you first signed up.

Roffle

First off, that was a stupid thread.

Second, there's no such thing as free speech on someone else's website. Boards ltd is not a government. Devore is not the president. He has no obligation to let you post stupid crap on his website.

...

of all the places you chose to post this...complaint...well lets just say I dont exactly have a great reputation for allowing freedoom of speech here either...

First of all, you didnt read the charter...
Second, Dev has the right to do what he wishes.
Third, thread closed.
