Looking for title of a book

Years ago I had a children's book whose name escapes me but dearly want to find it.

The outline of the book was set in Dublin, in the time of Brian Boru. The only character I can remember is that of a girl called Astrid.

And the only other thing I remember about the book is the cover was that of a girl with blonde hair sitting on a white horse.

I know its a shot in the dark, but does anyone know the book I am talking about and if possible what the name of it is?

Well I've tried every combination of search strings...can't find a thing..

It would be easier if there wasn't a woman called Astrid who writes Celtic Mythology novels for children living in the world....her name dominates the search results.....

    Update on this thread

I found the blasted book I was looking for.

Its called The Viking Princess, by Michael Mullen - I seriously recommend this read for children between 8 and 12 - quite good and also good for me, I am re-reading it at the moment :)
