From California, but well worth it, a guy in work bought the 128mb and had it in less than 2 weeks.

If u select shipping select the usps 3 to 14 days, with insurance cover up to 100$

USB 2 " compatible" doesn't necessarily mean that it runs at usb 2 speeds. Pretty much all (or even just "all") USB 1.1 devices are USB2 "compatible" but they'll only run at v1.1 speeds.

They are in Celbridge, and their add says USB 2.0 can be UP to 10 times faster than USB 1.1 - so if you feel the need for speed then it's another 7 euro

NB. since they are in the EU you don't have to worry about customs etc.

    NT doesn't support USB
Win 95 USB is very flaky and 98 and 98 SE are different animals when it comes to USB.

So in 98SE (maybe 98) 2k and Xp it's treated as a removable drive with a drive letter - bit like a zip disk - for 2k/xp you can probably hot swap - with 98 you should stop the device with the green icon in the corner if you don't want a blue screen when you unplug it, stopping is recommended for all OS's - NB you can't stop it if any files or explorer window that lists the drive is open eg: My Computer

Very iimportant point that , otherwise GLS or FEDEX will show up at your door or write a stroppy letter to your looking for the VAT on the spot. No cash for the courier means no delivery. As 'agents' they are obliged to take Mc Creeveys cut for him when the package enters the country. They will not always do it but the possibility is high. GLS are impossible to contact if you are not there when they show up, they happen to be the Irish agent for the US Postal Service.

I think that they allow thru deliveries under €40 or so. Above that you risk being mugged by GLS on behalf of McCreevey.

for 2k/xp you can probably hot swap

XP yeah, think it depends on the age of the PC as well. Newer ones are plug n play with no bluescreen. I still stop the device from the taskbar on an old 1999 laptop of mine in XP for fear of data loss :( . Must test by simply yanking it someday.

    Ah, this old chestnut again:)

It does support USB (and DVD at that) if SP6a has been installed. Depending on the device, there may be a need for a device driver to be written for it as well (and as USB support was introduced so late in life for NT4 many vendors didn't bother writing one for their particular device)

Guys, you dont need admin pawword or anything with these.. only problem is NT4 It doesnt recognise USB drives!(i dont know if there is a patch for this now or not)

A guy bout the one i ordered allready and all he does is fit the wire in the USB port, and after when u go to "my computer" the drive appears automatically, and all u have to do is send it to that drive as if it was a Floppy drive, its very simple!

I really recomend it! i had to order 3 more for my collegues.
