They has anyone got URLs of places that sell audio (CD players) in ireland.

Or has any one got recommendation for a CD player that I ca buy for a christmas present that a multi-changer can be added to later - got a budget of €200.

Maybe Argos might be worth a look.

Cheers, I had a look but there is no info to whether a multi-changer can be added later.

Most of the sony and Pioneer's can have a CD-Changer added afterwards, all you need is a "CD-Control OUT" on the stereo, you sould be able to look up the model on the relevant website and get the spec there.

Actually, I think you'll find you are wrong:
    Sony CDX-L480X Argos: €220 Icetronix: €230
    Sony CDX-L580X Argos: €240 Icetronix: €250
    Sony CDX-MP40 Argos: €320 Icetronix: €295

Sounds like pretty much the same really......

I've seen this site but have found it absolutley impossible to navigate. Spent 5 minutes & looking for what I needed & just gave up - the questioned begged from the experiance, is can you trust a company with such a shoddy website.

Thank for the help everyone else.

That big car accessories shop in Blanch center over near Kentucy Fried Chicken had a Sony CD player for 160 or 180 last time I was there. Offer might be over now though. If I was buying one I'd be looking at one with MP3 functionality. Like this one http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/focus.php3?partno=CQRDP383

    Ouch!

Well, there is just no pleasing some! I thought prices are decent enough. Navigation is your problem, as for the trust I think we are taking the same chance ordering on any website on-line.

I bought this from www.incarexpress.co.uk and it came out at under €200. In the current Argos, its €300.

    Fantastic machine.

Sorry Claire not a personal dig - I'm a web designer & get a little touchy about such things (poorly thought out interactivity in a commerical site).

Apologies if I came across roughly - you after all were only being helpful.

    DMC

Had you any issue getting it through Irish customs?

Do you have to pay VAT when importing from England?

    Cheers

No problem with customs pencil - we're all in the EU these days and all that. And yes, you'll pay VAT. Irish VAT at that if the company's sales to Ireland are over 40 grand a year. UK VAT otherwise. (obviously I've no idea which Damo ended up paying but I'm sure he'll be around to tell us)

Fantastic price at that - might get one myself in Feb/March when I have some money
