Engineering Software Development - Galway

    Guys,

My company is an engineering consultancy which supplies software and services to the offshore oil industry. There's been a vacancy for a while in the analytical software development section. The job would suit any engineer (particularly civil or mechanical) with a solid grasp of engineering and mathematics and an appitude for software development. I can't comment on salary since all salaries are individually negotiated but they are always described as "competetive".

If you think that you might be suited you can have a look at http://www.mcs.com/site.php?section=6&name=Careers for more details. If you'd like to PM me for advice before making a formal application, feel free, I'd be delighted to help.

Utilising our extensive operational knowledge and a risk assessment approach, we assisted Shell Expro in their decision to use either a rigid linepipe or flexible riser, resulting in significant savings in CAPEX.

    Be very careful.
Shell refuse to let anyone use their name or logo for anything. I suspect if they saw that, they would not be happy.

Thanks for worring about us. :)

Just for your peace of mind, I have confirmed we have full permission from all operators whom we have published case studies on, including Shell Expro.
