Here, how much do yis reckon I should charge for typing essays? Should I do it per page or per word or wha'?

depends on what you're typing really,
I'm guessing its college essays for lazy Arts students or something?

decide how long it'll take you to type say 10 pages or something, then charge by the hour, maybe increase it if you have to insert or leave spaces for diagrams and so on, or if there's any funky formatting needed

nice little money earner if you're a quick typist and have some MSWord skillz

Charge per page, if you're a fast typer and you charge by time it'll actually be less worth it. As for charge, charge as much as you can get away with.
