hdd connectors

    quick question. im gonna get a new hdd. im currently using a maxtor 60 gig. thing is its ata 133. im gonna try get a quiet drive, possibly a seagate, but all these nice, quiet drives are ata 100. will the connectors of my ata133 ribbon cables fit into the connector of an ata100 drive???

    Never noticed any difference between ata 100 and 133 tbh

    seagate is the quietest IMO...They are the ones that developed the fluid bearing first although if your ever buying SCSI IBM/Hitachi are just as good as Seagates ...
    you really cant beat the baracudas for build quality
