So, anybody know of any good Irish Jazz bands playing shows around the Dublin area? Any recommendations for someone not too experienced in Jazz? Has anyone been to any good shows recently?

JJ Smyth's have live jazz most nights. A great jazz band called Spectrum play there on a Monday but it might be a bit heavy for someone not too experienced, I think you'd wanna be fairly into it to enjoy it. The Mezz is usually good for a funk vibe.

Another place I just thought of is Gubu on a Tuesday night (The Company play there every week)
