Anybody know if we can get this hooked up for the rugby?

ERC is delighted to welcome French channel Sport +, part of Canal+ Group,
as the latest broadcaster to sign up to show the Heineken Cup this season.

ERC I think it means European Rugby Clubs "I stand corrected" To watch Canal + you need a subscription and a different receiver. Look at this site http://www.canalplus.fr for all the details.
Sounds like a lot of trouble!!!!

As far as I know Munster V Bourgoin is not on RTE (I stand corrected) and if its not I was wondering if we could catch it on French TV (if its on there)

Come to think of it if French TV were covering the match then RTE would probably cover it too when the cameras are already there, so its probably not on anwhere!

This match is on tomorrow and nobody over here http://www.munsterrugby.ie/viewThread.jsp?threadId=15234&viewMessageThreadsPageNumber=1 seems to know if Sport+ is available or not in the pubs. Can anybody here help?

The match is on Sport+ not Canal+, has anybody actually ever seen this channel in a pub anywhere?

This channel using TPS encription and is therefore available to anyone who has a digital receiver, and a dish lined up to 19E and either a Matrix reloaded Cam or a magic, freecam, or joker cam along with a 6 in 1 File on a funcard(I am on dangerous ground here)

What part of the country are you in .

It is very easy to get. I am here in Waterford and I know that there will be one Pub definitely showing it plus I will have it in my house.

You wont be watching it for much longer though unless you have an official subscription. C+ and CSN are phasing out TPScrypt at the moment. Just have a look at the C+ France channels. All Astra TPScrypt channels should be gone by the end of next week (except perhaps the Viacom ones).

I have all but moved from Astra 19 now as there is very little left. The French package is the only thing worth while left and as you correctly pointed out that package only has day rather that weeks left.

In my opinion 30west is prob the best place to go to now, and by all accounts that only has a few months left aswell.

A few of the pubs had it in Limerick in the end. Apparently some guy was going around setting up for them and charging through the nose for it. I've heard of prices between €500 and €3000.

C+ ZAP,Sport TV..? might be showing a toon game this weekend.

There are mainly only two differnt systems fitted to Pubs here in Waterford as far I am aware. I will try to give you an idea of who has what.

Alfie Hales: One pub has a Supersport Package whis is broadcast on 13e with Eng Comm. The other two of his pubs have the Art Sport package which is also broadcast on 13e with Eng Comm. Along with these official packages I think he also has NTV(A Turkish FTA Channel with No Eng Comm)

Norris@ Bar: Supersport Package

Showboat: Art Sport Package.

JacK T's Bridge Hotel: Supersport Package

Olde Stand: Not Quite Sure but do show two games most weekends.

O Neills in Tramore: Never been out there but have been told that they do all their games from 1w which is where you could get to see the Newcastle came on Saturday. I know they advertised the Man U game against Villa at the weekend which no other pub in Waterford had. And that was shown on C+ ZAP and Sport tv plus others.

It is very early in the week to be able to tell whether the Liverpool or the Newcastle will be screened but SuperSport or Art Sports have not announced their games for this weekend so I would not be surprised if the game turns up there, providing ofcourse the second game turns out to be the Newcastle game. The main game this week looks like been the Bolton v Chelsea game.

toonarmy dont be to disappointed but from reading through certain websites it looks as though the foreign broadcasters are going to show the liverpool game on Saturday, which means that none of the channels will show your team. Only once this season that I can recall was there 3 games shown on different channels.

Tomorrow we will know for sure so here's hoping they show Newcastle as who wants to watch boring liverpool.

Liverpool game confirmed on two channels. Newcastle game still down for sport tv which no pub in waterford has as far as i know. But in my opinion this game will drop off.

none of the regional stations except for Wales, Ulster and Scotland made it to satellite.
