Ordering Sky+

Where would be a good place to order SKY+ in Meath?

I've tried the place in Navan where I originally got my Sky digital from, but they really hadn't a clue, and I wasn't inspired with confidence by them.
    Any advice?

(Incidentally, I asked them would they run 3 additional cables, instead of 1, while they were up at the chimney, and they said each cable would cost me €75!)

Im not too sure about Navan but yhe only things i can think of are
1 look in electrical shops that sell sky and look to see are they demo'ing it and if they are hey presto

    or

2 ring the sky+ no. (sorry i dont know it myself) and ask them where to go

Sorry if i aint any help....

Can i ask for some advise..

If i get Sky+ WITHOUT VAT how much will i save (i can do that perfectly above board) and install it myself without going onto the Sky World package for the month and staying with my Sky Sports package

    and

    Any general instalation tips

Just to add to Man's comments, I very much recommend Tony as well.

Bought my Sky+ from him on a Monday evening, had it on Wednesday morning.

Tony answered all questions I had on the quad LNB and adding a second box (for ITV/C4/C5), so I could install it myself and save the €75 installation.

This is not intended as an ad, but if you want to "keep things in the family", Tony's your man.

I've had enough shoddy customer service with every other company going, particularly those in this country, so when you come across a decent one, I think it's no harm to promote the good guys.

Just following on DOH's post, I too ordered from Tony last Wednesday via the web and had box on Friday via SDS.

Did the install myself on Saturday and had a few follow up questions on Monday which Tony answered straight away.

In this day and age (and in this country) good service should be acknowledged

    Regards

    Mick

Just like to add my 2 cent and recommend Tony too.

Despite a slight delay due to the expected shortage of Sky+ boxes in early Oct. he kept me up to speed on the progress and duly delivered the box within a week.

The LNB he supplied is much better build then previous LNBs we've had installed. I had the whole thing installed within an hour (I ran cables the weekend before though).

So far the Sky box has worked flawlessly (aside from known bugs in the software - Dolby 5.1 issues for example- which are Sky's fault.)

As Roy might say "All credit to good satellite dealers" :)

    Tony,

Based on impressive recommendations, I'd be happy to deal through your good self if possible.

I've tried to pm you, to no avail. How should I make contact?

    Regards,

    Mred

I'm sorry I cannot answer that here because of complaints made by other list members about advertising.

    Sorry

    Yep, Tony's the man.

Got one of the first Sky+ boxes off him in June and it was a pleasure dealing with him.
