Anyone got the 2-disc edition yet?

I'm not sure whether to buy it now, or wait and see if they release a better version like they did with Xmen 1.5. That'd mean more waiting though, and I want it nowwwwwww!

I think this is the definitive version of X-2. I mean they've got an extra disc so I don't know how they'd go and get extra extras. I feel compelled to say "read all about it" now. :)

To be honest why waste your money buying X-Men dvds in the first place?

Imo, the first film was ****e. I mean i grew up reading the comics so i was expecting something good! There's enough in the X-men "universe" to create a good film. Instead, it was just bubble gum rubbish whose soul purpose was to get a franchise going and also to sell as many x-men toys as possible for x-mas!?

of course just my opinion! its your dosh!

But i'd like to see the number of people who feel their time was robbed by that "movie"?

I got X2 on Region4 dvd (Australia) a few weeks back.

I thought the first X-Men was good but not great (didn't buy the dvd). I think the second one is excellent -much much better.

To be honest I don't think theres any reason to hold-out for another release. Even the "X1.5" dvd is THE EXACT SAME MOVIE -its only added extras.

I loved X-Men and X2 even more. Best comic book adaptations i've seen, only Batman comes close. Good characters, decent scripting, strong cast, good stories, SFX not over used, good soundtrack, etc. My main complaint about X1 was that the pace was a little slow in the beginning.

Ratings wise on the imdb, X1 has 7.3 and X2 7.7, which are pretty good for comic book based films.

I got it last week, and frankly I think it's absolutely brilliant!

The second disc is absolutely packed to the brim with extras.
I just finished watching them all.

Frankly, I was a little bitter about the X-Men 1.5 bollocks, as I bought the original DVD when it came out, and I dont think owning multiple versions of the same film is wise, or wallet-friendly.

But I really enjoyed the original movie, and found that X2 was even better. Which is rare for a sequel to out-do the first film, but X1 had to set-up all the characters, so that would be a rather painfully, and inevitable thing to do when bringing the comic book to a film world. The thing that caught me though, was that it stayed very true to the source material, and never once went "Hollywood Comic-Book Film" like the recent Batman efforts, and wasn't afraid to go into darker scenes.

I generally liked X Men 2 better, because there was a bigger scope, more intricate plot, more expansion on characters, and over-all some very nifty scenes. Mystique in Wolverine's tent anyone?

tbh those bonous material dvds with extras , deledted scenes, and more (even if thers not any more) are complete rubbish, i have the feeling they make bad scenes to fill up the dvd.
