You can setup a printer driver to print to file - eg: www.pdf995.com to setup a pdf printer - BUT you can't edit it

you could also setup a fake postscript printer too..

Anyone know of a BMP printer - or other print to graphic file in an editable format ???

PS. The old generic Text only driver is great to extracting text for many program outputs.

If you are after editing the graphic of the output, simply open the pdf in Photoshop and extract the image of interest.
If you are after something programmatic I think there is some document content managment stuff up on apache.org that can do it - but don't quite me on that! :p
