Increasingly, when watching it, I'm laughing a lot of the time.

I mean Fizz, her Mother, Les and Chesney... some of the exchanges are hilarity, more so than drama.

And then theres that surreal thing thats going on between Dev and that solicitor lady... everytime I see them together I squirm with laughter:eek: :D

Not to mention Fred, Ashley and Claire and the way the latter two are errr carrying on...

    mm

I don't watch it anymore. Can't stand it! I watch Eastenders on occasion but not a big fan of soaps in general. I must be in a minority though considering the ratings!

I just want to say that I just hate DEV  he is soooooo annoooying. I ammmmm deeev blah blah blah

But yes Coro St. could be considered a comedy with the story lines at the moment.

Just explain any soap opera to some who never watchs them and just see how ridulous they are.

Coro St. = Trany, pshyco killer, Deirdre's Glasses.
EastEnders = Moany Bastards, Inbreads and someone eventually dies
Fair City = Cults, Hookers, Pimps and Godfather Types (It should be set in Limerick)
Emmerdale = Lesbean Vet who's ex lover is married to her brother, need I say any more about Emmerdale (Just ain't about the farm)

Oh you can't ... SAY ... that about .... DEV and the WAY he talks my love , uh-ah-ha-huh.

He's like the bizarre lovechild of Terry Thomas and Captain Kirk.

Its a Corrie tradition that a humourous plot line will run parallel to something more intense ie Les and his slappy girlfriend set off against the whole Martin Platt cradle-snatcher saga. They've been at it for years now.

Derek and Mavis used to be great comic foils at thier best...ah those were the days! :embarrassed:

    Don't find Corrie funny?

Check out the ITV episode summaries. They're less funny than they were (they used to be downright bitchy) but the odd one is still hilarious

It's a drama with comic relief thrown in.

Yeah Dev is such a sleeze, and oh my god how are those two still together, they're so wooden. Like that date where they sat in awkard silence, and then "oh dev when can I see you again". It's more cringe funny than haha funny.
