Anyone get Slayer's DVD yet?

tis feckin deadly, extra features not great tho, mostly consisting of interviews with the idiot american teenagers who have come to see the show.

after that its interviews with Tom, Jeff and Kerry (with and apearance from that bald guy in Anthrax and Kirk Hammet making an idiot out of himself )


the show itself is brilliant, Captor of Sin being my favourite song on it, Angel of Death is a bit sub-par i thought....



get Megadeths "Rude Awakening" DVD before you get this tho, and you will see possibly the tightest band in the world playing thier INCREDIBLE SONGS.

It's a shame they didn't use a show with Dave Lombardo. Bostaph's an almighty drummer but Lombardo just sounds right. I saw Slayer back in 88 and whenever I saw them without Dave, they just didn't have the same effect. Then seeing them again at Ozzfest last year... damn near brought a tear to me eye

Yeah, he totally kicked ass last year. I was at Tattoo The Planet and Bostaph as good as he is, isn't right for Slayer.

i dont know why so many poeple think Lombardo is so much better than Bostaph, the drumming on Diabolus and Go Hates Us All (havnt heard Divine Intervention, or was Lombardo still on at that stage?) is amazing, stuff that Lombardo could never write.


the reason i think poeple think slayer seem so much better wth Lombarado behind the kit is that theyre a tighter band with him. while he may not be as good as bostaph his technique and rythm is absolutley flawless.

am i the only one who DOESNT pay attention to the drummer?:D i confess, Lombardo is the man, but in a live situation i wouldnt know...check this out:
First time i saw Slayer was on the Metal 2000 Tour with Maiden and Motorhead in Germany (the bill was Motorhead, Slayer, Maiden - 3 headliners)
I was already "pleasantly buzzed" when Motorhead were kicking ass, but i had never seen Slayer in action and i was beyond hyped, i was near hysterical. By the time they got on stage and opened with War Ensemble i went ballistic. Literally. I opened my eyes the next second and saw Bruce on stage, thinkin what the f**k just happened - Slayer devastated all in sight. So i saw Motorhead and Maiden, but not the band in the middle


so i never noticed (live, i mean) the Lombardo/Bostaph deal..
