    Okay, anyone got good riddles?
Well anyway, I'll start it off, shall I?

    A nice easy one:
There are two sheep in a field. One is looking North and the other sheep is looking South. But, they can see each other.
    How can that be?
NB|there is no mirrors or anything miscellenous there
just two ordinary sheep and a field.....

the sheep looking south is north of the sheep looking north?

You arrive at the gate of heaven and hell. Two guardians are here. None of them is seating in front of a particular gate, they are just walking around. One of the gate leads to heaven, the other to hell, and as you might have guessed, you have to find which one. The only thing you know is that one of the guardian is always lying and the other always telling the truth. You can ask one question to one of them.

They're at one of the magnetic poles whereby north and south become irrelevant

Or more simply, they're standing facing each other :)

As for the guardian one, the question you should ask is "If I ask the other guardian if this door goes to heaven, what would he say?" If the answer is no, then choose that one, because if it's the lying one he would lie and say that the truthful one would say no, and if it's the truthful one, he would answer truthfully that they lying one would say no. If the answer's yes, choose the other one.

thats probably a better way to put it alright!

yeah, right answer! Ask: "What would the other guardian tell me if I asked him for the door to heaven?". (And take the other one )

I thought he was hanging from the ceiling but the ceiling was too tall and there were no chairs or anything in the room. Only a puddle of water. So the answer is he stood on top of an ice cube to hang himself.

every evening a man comes home from work and rides the elevator to the 4th floor of the appartment building he lives in, he then get's out and uses the stairs to the 7th floor, where his appartment is.

however, on rainy days, he rides the elevator all the way up to the 7th floor.

    explain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,518 ✭✭✭✭dudara

He is a midget and can only reach the 4th floor button. However, when it is raining he has an umbrella with him which he can use to extend his reach.

You're a secret agent trying to infiltrate a super-villan's secret lair. You lie in wait outside the large gate at the front entrance, a trap door is located in front of the door. You see a shadowy character approach the door, a voice from the doorman inside says "six" the character responds "three" and the door is opened for him. Another character approaches, the doorman says "twelve" and the response "six" is successful.
You have heard enough, you go to the door and are confronted with the number "ten". You have one response or it's into the murky depths of the trap door with you, what do respond?

    The answer is "one"

The answer the guy wants is "Nine" or a multiple of nine.
So the first guy answers corectly by adding 3 + 6 = 9

    The second guy 12 + 6 = 18

You can add to the figure only if the number you give can be divided into the first number given.
If not, then you have to divide, so 1 - 10 = 9
    So the anwser is 1......phew:p

Grrr, that better be it:rolleyes: :p

A warplane is flying to it target. When the pilot opens the bomb bay doors the bombs fail to drop.

    Why?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 989 ✭✭✭MrNuked

because the plane is still flying to the target and hasn't actually reached it perhaps

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,406 ✭✭✭Pompey Magnus

lafortezza and bus77 smile smugly as they wait for the door to open only to feel the floor open beneath them, so the piranahs eat well tonight!

eddhorse enters the lair, defeats the villain and saves the planet, yay!

Pirates on a ship come across a new island and go to explore it, they throw their rope ladder over the side to climb into their rowing boats. the ladder comprises of 20 rungs each 12 inches apart. It takes 30 mins to row over and 30 mins back! the tide is rising at a rate of 5.5 inches per hour. How long do the pirates have to actually explore the island before the ladder is completely submerged?

    plane upside down?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 458 ✭✭shurl

One night three guests enter a hotel, they book 1 room for €30.

When they have left the manager realises that the room only costs €25, so he sends the bell-boy up with the €5 change.

While the bell-boy is going to the room he realises that it will be difficult to divide the €5 into 3, so he pockets €2 for himself and gives each of the guests €1

So that means that each guest originaly payed €10 each but were given €1 back, so they payed €9
    €9 by €3 is €27 , the bell-boy has €2, which equals €29.

So where did the other €1 go?
