    Howdy

Thinking of getting a set of EMG's fitted to my Les Paul.
The Emg 81 & 85 - the old Zakk Wylde set up. :D

Anyway I don't really know much about active pick ups.

Will they have to bore a hole in the back of the guitar for the battery etc?

    Anyone had it done?

Anyone know of anyone worthwhile who I can pay to do it.

I have those EMG's in my LTD M-100 and I love them. You should be able to fit the battery into the control cavity as long as you wrap it in the foam they supply. It's very simple to install them if you're effecient with a soldering iron.

    emmmmmm.................say no more!

Nah I'm crap with a soldering iorn.

I was actually gonna go for the "Zakk Wylde pack" which comes with lots of different pots & stuff so I might get it done professionaly.

Anyone have any numbers or recommend any shops that would do it.

Good call. Smiler, may I also suggest the "search" button. This topic has been discussed before at some great length.

Try Musician Inc. I think they have some EMG's and might have/be able to get the ZW kit.
