Is anyone playing SWG yet?

Just curious because when I mentioned a seperate forum for SWG on boards.ie in the suggestions area, I seemed to be the only person to show an interest.

Are none of you playing the game? Are any of you considering playing the game? The reason I was asking was that i've had it since it came out on friday and I think it's great. I've read a lot of bad reviews but I haven't really seen any problems with it - plus the community is already expanding even just from people I know myself.

If any of you are currently playing, and if you are interested in grouping sometime or becoming part of the guild we are setting up, we're all on the Farstar server on Tatooine in Mos Eisley. We've already built a house for ourselves and will soon build a guild hall and a city around it.

If you're looking for us come look for either myself 'Icey' or some of the other members such as 'Otissa', 'Light', 'Rizlib', 'Dakiine', 'Glas Gow', or 'Keltoi'.

There are plenty more members, around 15 or so, but these are the regulars atm.

i played it for 2 weeks during the closing stages of beta, and being one to have played pretty much all mmorpgs, this one does not have a system that will stand the test of time for anyone other than fanboys.

The way of the mmorpg is going more towards twitch systems(fps) and SWG is as far from twitch as i am from being a millionarre

ok ive gone and done it, i bought SWG today for the princely sum of 49.99 with a month free.

it has a lot of work to do to get its hooks firmly into me, but thats what the trial period is for.

ill be playing on chimera server with the DNC lads.

scratch that, i have characters on all 3 euro servers now

chimera - Elara Drake, Human, going for Artisan(complete) Architect(complete) Droid Engineer(master) and completeing the rifle and ranged sections of marksman. (this will leave me with 3 skill credits )

Fallstar - Pe-tit, Twi-lek, Going for entertainment :P

Infinity - Eeta, Zabrak, bounty hunter

after playing since yesterday my chimera character is almost mastered surveying and engineering, my fallstar character has level 2 dance, level 3 heal and level 2 image.

its a bit easy.

well they been patching like crazy over the last few days cos vehicles are being added during the week, and the yadded a new 'dungeon' on dathomir apparently it can chew up a group full of elite classes and spit em out.

Vehicles are just not enough tbh
There is just not enough content in the game once you finish leveling up your character. I quit with a 2/4/4/4 BH - all the main themeparks finished along with most of the various badge quests, 2 million+ creds, a med naboo house filled with every type of armor going and the best of the best in weapons. Faster travel at this point just means I get to do nothing faster.
