    i have an audigy 2 is there somewhere to buy the platinum drive for it?

    Yep there is...but its called the Audigy 2 Drive Bay its not a platinum...

    ...so it wont give you genuine 24 bit recording just more connections.

    yup thats what im looking for but all i realy want to do is connect a guitar to the audigy is there a cheaper way of doing it?

    Aye, there is. 3.5mm to 6.5mm cable stereo, one end into your line in, other end into your amp headphone jack (if it has one) or into your effects.

    Yep you can, just turn down the output first!

    Select your soundcards main hardware driver if using
    a sequencer to record into.

    About €1/€2 in any music shop or high street retailer (Lazer/Dixons etc).

    would probably be better for you, seeing as you can you your usual guitar lead, just with an adaptor to allow it to fit into the back of your current sound card. Again, same price, but harder to come by. But not by much mind...
