Yep, they were quite nice! Ate it the same way, chip off all the chocolate first then finish it off.

    It is what it's.

Sorry to bump this, but I thought it was worth it to tell you all about the life-changing, childhood-renewing experience I had just 15 minutes ago! I had just finished my dinner and was looking in the fridge for a bar, a cake, anything that might serve as dessert, when I saw some chocolate. It was in an unusually large cardboard packaging, which I slid off to reveal a plastic packaging. I ripped off the plastic and broke one of the squares off the bar, put it in my mouth, and allowed the taste to be absorbed by my tongue. After just a few seconds, that vanilla/cocoa flavour hit me full blast, and with it, images from my childhood, of my nana coming up to my house and bringing in her pocket, for my sister and I, the most delicious and satisfying, if a little small, bars of chocolate known to Ireland: that's right, this evening, I stumbled upon A MACAROON BAR!!!!!!

Sure, it was in a different package (the old-fashioned, newspaper-feeling, white packaging was replaced by a new-age, colourful, graphic-filled cardboard box), and the taste was perhaps a little less than perfect (how could it beat the macaroon of years gone by?), but rest assured -- it was a Macaroon. "...Since 1937...", the cover said.

€1 for 2 bars (9 squares in each) in the shops down the road from me, my mother reliably informs me.

Tomorrow, I will buy 10. Or maybe a hundred.
