'B' Stock/refurbished AV equipment from Richersounds Belfast

Just wondering if anybody has bought any refurbished AV equipment from Richersounds Belfast and if so how they got on?

They have some Marantz SR homecinema receivers at low prices, but they are 'B' stock refurbished by Marantz.

    Any comments?

    B stock is fine.
Basically what happens is a box goes out to the customer and doesn't work when the customer plugs it in , it's called dead on arrival.

Usually this could be due to something simple that wasn't checked at the factory, first time round , like a fuse, faulty circuit board or whatever.

The customer gets a new unit and the unworking one is sent back to the factory where the fault is fixed and the machine is tested.
Some say B stock is better actually than the new as it is in fact new aswell and has been fully tested with speakers in the case of an amp ( as opposed to not fully tested in the same way when it comes off the production line )

    Thanks mm,

I like your logic. Have a B stock Marantz SR4300 receiver on order for GB£139. Just waiting for them to get Mordaunt Short Premiere 5.1 speakers back in stock, then it will be happy days.

MM is spot on but in relation to refurbished some companies offer services where they will refurbish old products (usually trade in items, Power city always at that) buying them is risky very risky they come with 3 months warranty and are usually cheap for that reason.
Make sure the amp has been done my Marantz and it be fine and with normal warranty.
