I'm getting the following error when i click the back button when using Internet Explorer. Any ideas ?

    - IEXPLORE.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.

An error log is being created -

Try emptying your cache. If that doesn't work, run Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy to see if any nasties have attached themselves to your browser. If that doesn't work, uninstall any addons you installed yourself, such as the Google Toolbar. If that doesn't work, a colleague will be along to handle your problem shortly, please hold... <insert tacky hold music here>...

This is one of the main reasons why IE should not be integrated with the OS (apart from all the security holes of course) it just ain't as stable as you would wish,.

Have you also visited http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and checked for OS / IE patches etc.

might help to mention which version of IE / OS you are running :)
does it always happen when you press backspace or only sometimes ?
If always then set the default page to blank - in case it is something to do with the homepage...
