Claiming back a Phone from Vodafone?

    I sent in my claim form for my Panasonic GD87 2 weeks ago and after hearing nothing from them I gave them a ring today and the person from Vodafone said they had declined my claim because they hadn't received it within 30 days of the incedent?

    Has this happend to anyone else? I told her the reason it took so long was because I went on holiday...... I also bought a sim free phone just after it happend so I was kinda in no rush to send it in.
