Now you can tell us how much more they ruined the matrix universe before we decide to go to it anyway.

I assume you're on that free viewing list. I know someone on that and he gets to bring one other person along (so far only ever got to see the premiere of Buffalos Soldiers, a day beforehand). I'm currently hoping he'll let me go to 'Return of the King' (like Matrix, it's shown 2 days before the release) but the competiton will be fierce :D

I for one shall see it on a lazy sunday morning, no fuss, no rush. I shall stroll in with no expectations and hopefully it will be enjoyable. Why everything has to be a race I dont know, an Irish premier is about as big a claim to fame as saying you were sent down for child abuse.

According to the BBFC, the run time is 129 minutes.

And if it's anything like the last one, you can take about 10 minutes off that for credits.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,455 ✭✭✭weemcd

do you think there will be any easter eggs after the credits, mabye a phone message from neo or morpheus telling you the rabbit hole goes deeper etc. ?

I heard that the credits for the Matrix: Reloaded are the second longest credit sequence EVER.

its likely, going by the pre-release interviews and hype Id say there will be more Matrix films, take this whatever way you want.

On 'Making the Movie' one of the actors said that this film finished the story... or at least Neo's story, so Theres bound to be a spin off (for example a vague hint at the future is
theres a new RPG game on the way where you can free-roam the matrix, however no strong info on it as it may ruin the movies story. But if its set after the movie and in the matrix, it says alot
    ).

anyway, I loved the first movie, thought the second was really good (but not as good), and I cant wait for the third (i also enjoyed the game to an extent and liked most of the animatrix) however I think this series could easily become a cash cow, indeed if original actors begin to drop off, and especially if the Nerd Brothers hand it over to someone else or get greedy and lose their inventivness.

also, heres another rumour about the third film
    a main character will die
I wonder how true it is... and im going to have to stop reading about it and watching shows about it until after the film, i dont want too much given away.

There is always a way to see it before it will be released. I don`t know of a single film, where noone managed to get a copy out beforehand...

I have Matrix Revolutions already on DVD... got it via a good friend from China (my monthly package)... can`t say it blew me away...

no sign of it on vcdquality yet, guess it'll be at least tomorrow if not later before it appears anywhere other than the big screen (not that I would advocate any wrong doing of course, just curious).

    No, no, no, no, NO.

Andy, Larry, this is not how you end an otherwise incredible series. At the end, I was left asking "Where's the rest of this movie?".

Proper review shortly. It won't be pretty.

My building anticipation for this film has been somewhat reduced :(.....Im hoping Ill have a better opinion of it then Obey seems to have on Wednesday

The Hollywood reporter says: Bottom line: Better than "Reloaded," but the thrill is gone.

    Still looking forward to it..

WARNING: Only read the spoilers if you absolutly have to, thet's why they're called spoilers

Watch Reloaded before you go see this, it literally just starts where reloaded ends...
Absolute tosh. Only the real diehard fans will enjoy it. Overall I found it extremly tedious with nothing fresh injected into it & a barely coherent storyline.

Borrows heavily from Aliens, Daredevil & as for the climactic Neo/Smith punchup in the sky, well I think we saw all that before in Superman II...

Trinity Dies twenty minutes before the end in the most cringe inducing way possible & as for Neo's death.... Pur-lease!!!

It's a pile of pants & all they've done by releasing reloaded & revolutions is stain the memory of the first one.

Two of the girls in the office went to the sceening last night. Their reaction to the movie is disappointment:

"It doesn't have any of the philosophical stuff that made Reloaded good, it's just action which looks great but gets a bit boring and the dialog isn't any good it's tacky and cheesy."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,698 ✭✭✭✭BlitzKrieg

Are all the best bits shown in the trailer like reloaded?

-didnt xpect it to be good IMO so no disapointments by meh.
