    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=33438

I was searching the web for the concept that Linux is a sucessful implementation of socialism and came accross this article. which got me thinking...

What OS do you think Jesus would use if he were around today?

Can you go to hell for using Linux? (any priests on boards?)

If you confess to using Linux in church what is the penance?

Could this lead to the introduction on an 11th commandment...

'Thou shalt not use open sourcery, or take the name of Bill Gates in vein.'

    Any thoughts?

Jesus would probably use Windows...afterall it is the leprosy of the computer world. :)

Once you get it, everything starts falling apart and all your friends will shun you.

He'd use Slackware... or maybe Gentoo.

    FreeBSD .

Gentoo, eh? Must have been a bit of a pisser to only live (on this world) for 33 years and spend most of that waiting for libc to compile...

Maybe he'll come back when he his open office binaries are done.

I dunno. He worked as a fisherman, and when I worked doing Sun/Solaris support, we used to get calls from trawlers and the like all the time.

"Hi, can you get someone to meet me on berth 4, south quay, in galway harbour at 8:15 this evening, I'll have a dead SCA 2GB [0] disk, and need a replacement".

Ah, those Sun field engineers must have met the most interesting types.

[0] It was a while ago, OK. Maybe they are using Linux now.

    Probably linux from scratch

6 days to put together, and a rest day on the 7th, what more could you ask for.

A better way of doing an upgrade other than flooding the place, wiping pretty much everything bar what you can fit on a floppy ark, and reinstalling ?

Imagine the lives that could have been saved if they had RPM by 4000BC!

Yes but, with the Jesus-rpm system that vengful god from the old testament would discontinue support by 2004, maybe there'd be redemption in the Fedora-afterlife, but around about then the Karma people would be giving their apt eulogy, to the -march un-optimised binary faithful.

obviously he'd share the root account with the other two. or maybe he'd have sudo access.
