There's also wireless broadband provided by Irish Broadband. It's available in Dublin. No telephone line required!

In Tallaght or certain parts of Lucan, NTL broadband is only €40 per month, 600kbs vs eircom/iol's 512kbs. Its also got the best cap allowing you to download 1GB a day. Eircom: 4GB monthly, IOL: 8GB monthly. Irish broadband has no upload download limit which is very good if you plan on doing a lot of downloading, eicom's 4GB a month is a joke, with broadband you could use it up in a day.

UTV internet (ADSL via Eircom) is currently uncapped but they "reserve the right" to introduce capping in the future

    Have a similar dilema myself:

Eircom: approx 55euro pm, 4gb download

    Esat/IOL: approx 50euro pm, 8gb download

UTV: approx 48euro pm, unlimited download but you have to sign to their phone service..

Regards to providing a reliable service I don't know which is better than which.. ANY IDEA's..

Also they really are overpriced a bit..
