    Hi

I want to set up a television distributuion network, combining Sky, UHF/VHF terrestial, FM together. I want to use f-type combiners to link the signals together into my distribution box (antiference UHF/VHF amp). Are Splitters effective combiners or what is the alternative?

Yes, the good ones that use a coil not resistors.

You may have to fiddle around with RF out channel settings to aviod interference

I an using an antiference distribution box, which has one UHF and one VHF input. Thus I need to get a five way combiner for

    Digibox
    Sky +
    Modulator
    UHF Terrestial Aerial

and a two way combiner for

    VHF Terrestial Aerial
    FM Aerial

What can you recommend, I am looking fo low loss F-type connections and I have heard of 'taps' but what are they?

Can you use loop through on each device?

Taps are basically a type of attenuated passive splitter used (among other places) in the Cable TV industry

Basically you have an input an output and one or more attenuated outputs

If you are going to use splitters ANYWHRE use the F_connector type
Most belling-lee type splitters are horrible (especially those white plastic "y-type" ones)
