24 has been screwed since season 1. Every episode in season 2 tried to be the best episode with the most twists ever - which resulted in huge build ups that lasted for weeks, and copious amounts of boring, predictable 'twists' being thrown at you from every direction in one episode.

Just my opinion though - I'll still peek at season 3 from time to time.

S3's first hour is indeed very good. What I liked is they jump straight into the story so we're immediately involved! I'm happy so far...

i watched the first episode too. then immediately after it i wanted to see what happens in the next one. im dying to lay down some spoilers but it wont be fair to the rest of you.

two days after the first episode was aired, a working copy of the 2nd episode appeared on the net which i felt i needed to download. (felt like jack if you know what i mean ;) ) anyway, this 'waiting for the week' wont go on anymore and i'm going to wait at least 6 episodes to go by before watching them all in a row. btw, kim is teh hot!

If you're a big fan than, excuse me for asking, but why on earth would you not watch it?!

i felt like ripping out my eyes toward the end. watching it is very stressful. its like shouting at a horror film "hes behind the door", except it lasts for 6 months.

Ah but I love the stress element of it, or spending half the show trying to guess where it'll end up as the clock ticks!

Similarily I love shouting at my TV during "Alias", trying to guess what side each character is on...

Its original. I have to say though there's no need for them to try and out-do 24 series 1 in every episode!
I loved the way series 2 ended! Really left it open for Number 3!

Oh goody, boards.ie's new 24 thread. Time for tom-fookery!!
    [/Thinks]
    Only messin'! ;)

Missed the first one (am in States) but managed to catch the 2nd one last night.

(spoiler cos ye're a shower a' pedants and even though I've no real spoilers in here...well, ye're a shower a' pedants)
Very good episode, unfortunately I got nailed by the 'Girl-announcer-on-Network2'-like thingy over here and saw most of Ep 3 in 10 seconds >:(

Kim looks way more mature too (i.e. less like jail-bait). New characters are interesting enough.

    No
    Reza
    , funnily enough ;)

PS Admins, maybe an idea for a spoiler button on the vB Code bar - me no likee da typee. :)

There is some confusion over whether BBC will retain the rights for the next season as FOX are unhappy with the BBC's decision to go free to air on Satellite and are threatening to sell the rights to somebody else. However I expect RTE to retain the Irish rights as there are no such problems here.

...I have to say I thought series 2 was not as good as S1.
The daughter is simply included as eye candy, and is overused; I mean just how much of a stupid b*tch would you have to be to get into trouble so many times in one night:mad:
I felt unable to empathise with her charcter one iota and wanted her to die. Maybe I'll get my wish this time around. I know its all fiction and not meant to be reality based, but at least the other story threads had a flow - one action caused a reaction etc., whereas her plots weren't. Die Bitch Die!

And Tonys bird is better looking anyway :D
