Cast Away

It was on RTE last night and I hadn't seen it for a while. I'd forgotten how much I liked it...at first I thought it would be boring with just one character for most of the film but I think it pulls through nicely..What are peoples thoughts on it...:ninja:

Yea it was well done allright.
The start was funny, when the planes goin down, one of the co pilots runnin back and forth, handin him air masks and inflatable boats. Then after all that, hanks gets out of his seat again, causeing the co-pilot to fall over and smack his head of the ground:D

I think Wilson should have gotten an Academy Award for best supporting actor.

When I saw this I wanted to kill myself its so boring, God I hate Tom Hanks....
Needless to say I didn't watch it again.

I think this film was bad. When it was out - I avoided it but I saw it last week on RTE.

Tom Hanks should go back to comedy.

This film was like watching paint dry.

The whole package thing at the end annoyed me. I hope to sometime see a director's cut where the woman goes "Oh! My satellite phone *finally* arrived..", and Tom Hanks goes "Doh!".

I thought the scene with the whale was just incredible!
Good movie over all, Hanks was brilliant in it. The ending was nice, I loved the last scene between Chuck and Helen Hunt's character! And I never thought I'd get attached to a character played by a volley ball!!

The end was supposed to make you think, films dont always have to have a big explosion at the end and have the woman fall for the man, open your mind a bit;)
