I used to be able to get some great Sat stations from Scandinavia on my old D2Mac system. TV1000 TVNorge Kanal Fem Dr1 Dr2 etc etc. I have gone digital and I can't find them on Thor or anywhere else. I am using a 1m motorised dish and a Technomate 5000CI with a Magic Cam and card. Anybody got any ideas?

The channels at 1 west are encrypted in Conax, so you won't get them without a Conax card.
Those at 5.0 East are mostly viaccess and a 1 metre dish might be a little small .

The receiver usually pulls in signals even if the cam cannot decode the picture. The stations don't even seem to be listed in recent copies of Wotsat.

/ indeed there were late night parties to watch the ahem specialist movies :p after midnight on those channels ...

Thanks guys. The only problem now is I need a 1.6 metre dish. If I attempt to put one up the mrs will kill me. I think I'm just about on the limit of female tolerance for techno gadgets etc.

A 1m dish will bring in most channels on a 1m dish , I am using a Sky 60cm and receiving most channels including the Kiosk 1- 22 . There are some channels like Sky news on the east european beam that require much larger.

For viasat you can get tv1000 2 tv10003 tv1000 cinema 2 tv1000 cinema 3 plus the tickets with 1m and good lnb like invacom .3 db .
Weather will affect these channels but should be ok most of the time. These tests carried out on the east coast so it's likely the further west you go the weaker the signal.
