Nokia 6610: Flickering Screen

Anybody have an info on a "flickering screen" problem I am having with a 6610. The screen also comes out of screensaver mode from time to time on its own accord. I read somewhere that there was a software update available for this phone to prevent this.

screen
color screens eat battery power, so nokia avoid updating the image more then is necessary,this can cause a flicker under certain lighting conditions, also do you still have the little bit of pretective plastic over the screen

software
go into your one in the shop on dawson st in town she is nice to look at and will update the software for free if your phone is under a year old, and never got wet,
