    HI.
I'm looking for an LNB that has 3 heads to pick up Astra1/Hotbird/Astra2.

Is there such a thing? Is it possible to get two coax lines out from each feed??

And if so, can someone point me to a irish/uk/european supplier.

    Thanks in advance.

You need a bracket to left with one LNB of existing and one up close on right (east) when dish pointing at Astra19E.

Or a bracket with a slider and 3 click stops with one LNB.

What receivers do you want to drive?

    how many receivers simulanously?

    http://homepage.eircom.net/~watty/satellite/sathowto-p6.htm

Motorized really only feeds one satellite and can be USALS, jack, hh-mount, diseqc 1.2 etc.

Slow to move if a coax powered diseqc motor.

    multi lNB

    lnbs1.jpg

Can feed three (or four) receivers with different satellites AT the SAME time, or different receiver on the same satellite using Dual or Quad LNB (or even a comunall system using Quattro LNB).

OR a multi fixed LNB setup can feed a 4 way diseq switch with 2, 3 or 4 LNBs.

A "Monobloc" is specific 2 way diseqc switch built in to a single LNB with two horns. It only "sees" one satellite at a time, but the diseqc switch signal selects the east or west horn.

On a 70cm to 90cm dish the horns are equivalent to 6 degrees, typically Hotbird/Astra./ On a 1.2m dish the horns would "see" only 3 degrees apart, typically Eutelsat W2 and Hotbird

So monoblocks are not flexible and don't allow a 3rd LNB on the same receiver easily.

The Digibox needs a manual LNB switch, it lacks the software for Diseqc (by deliberate design).

Tell us what you want to achieve and folks will advise on how many coax / lnb etc you need.

Thanks for such a detailed post watty.

Heres a little more detail as to what i want to achieve...

I think i am overcomplicating matters a little in trying to get viewing on all three satellites and on reflection, hotbird isnt all that interesting to me afterall - so that leaves Astra1(19.2) and Astra2(28.2).

Originally, i had setup on Astra1 - feeding into a skystar2 pci card - i was happy with the mix of channels on this. In order to accomodate other viewers in the house, i got a hold of a Interstar DSR 8008 DACI digital/analog receiver & dual LNB - and moved to Astra2 - so that they could view BBC. There doesnt seem to be anything else on fta astra2 other than BBC?

Now i'm thinking i can use the original single universal lnb and run it to the skystar2 ( i dont really need to run this to the standalone digital receiver as well).

BTW, the dish is an 80cm dish (the one recently offered by Lidl).

    Q. Should i leave it pointing at 28.2 (as it stands right now) - then find a way to clamp the other lnb to the right of it to pickup Astra1?

I can see from your setup that the lnbs are well secured - and i'm sure i can achieve the same..but it must be a little tricky between securing them in place and making sure they are still in the right place...

Your setup must have taken quite a while to put in place??
