I need to stretch my midrange (i don't know if that is the correct term I'm using, basically I mean the notes I can sing before the cut off point to falsetto) by a few notes. My limit at the moment is probably a high G (the note Chris Cornell hits in the chorus of like a stone for the IIIIIIIIIIIN your HOOOOOOOUSE....) So does anyone have any tricks to improve it or can they recommend a good place to get voice lessons. Also is there any tips to screech in tune without cracking glass?

Eh.. taking it Neil that your most likely a male, if you can sing the G above middle C with out to much strain and staying in tune, thats fairly fecking high for a male singer.

What kind of songs are you looking to sing with notes that high and not falsetto?

The best thing on the other hand if you do think you could reach higher with some help, would be to get voice lessons. The thing is most people like you or I, go into voice lessons thinking yes this will be great, improving my voice etc etc, but to do so it takes fecking ages to impliment what your learing from the voice lessons, onto what you are trying to sing. Simply because you will be taught using songs from Musical Play's and opera pieces.

Takes a hell of a lot of work, to try and use those techniques and excersises in helping you sing "Rock" songs, no doubt it does help and over time does improve your voice.

    Regards,
    -Coz.

Is that the note, on a guitar say, little e on the 3rd fret?

I saw Mark Graeney fron JJ72 hit the high C in 'October Swimmer' (5 up from that!) WITHOUT falsetto!!!!!!

    thats insane!

    Full natural head-voice.

His Highest note is a falsetto one, Eb above HIGH C on Gunshot Glitter.
