Jetplane Landing release Once Like A Spark

Following the near-death experience of guitarist Cahir O'Doherty, introduced to 240V of the ESB's finest in Cork, and four live shows around Ireland this week, Jetplane Landing release their eagerly awaited second album Once Like A Spark, through smalltown america records, this Monday 27 October. This will be followed by the second single taken from the album, I Opt Out, early in the new year.

The follow up to first album Zero For Conduct, Once Like A Spark is fleshed out by the permanent addition of guitarist/vocalist Cahir O'Doherty, once of Derry outfit Clearshot, and sees the band tighter and angrier than ever before.

Think Jimmy Eats World meets The Jesus Lizard, Joyrider meets Fugazi, with a hint of Pavement for good measure.

"'Once Like A Spark' is a harder-edged, more caustic affair than its predecessor, but equally as thrilling...Brilliant." - Kerrang! (KKKK)

"This album comes from the heart and soul of an underground sound...and remembers why that love was born. Get stuck in." - Bang magazine

"credit Jetplane Landing for the self-awareness to corral their rage within a blistering pop-rock blueprint" - The Irish Times

Album Of The Week - Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1
