I'm heading over to NYC soon, I want to do a boat trip around manhattan. I know the circle line does this. I also want to stop off on staten island for an hour or 2. Is there a boat company that will let me do both or will it mean 2 trips??

    may thanks

It means two trips - The Staten Island ferry is free though. The timetables for the ferry might have changed recently to I'd check before going down there (one of the ferries crashed recently and ten people were killed).

Also The Beast is well worth checking out. They're two huge speed boats that go from west 42nd street and the South Street Seaport. The two leave at the same time and do a trip of Lower Manhatten. You basically end up getting soaked, but I'm not sure how much fun it'd be in the cold :)

Yeah the staten island ferry is free and quite regular '' every 20 mins'' its a nice trip, you get very close to the statue of liberty, you also get a fantastic view of the ny skyline from the ferry, there is a big mall on staten island which you get to via a bus from the ferry terminal, and back.

    Have a good trip :)

Took the bus to that mall, took around 35 minutes. While it was huge, it was also boring. Just the same as every other American shopping center.

Is there a pub in the mall, or/and do they sell beer?

More importantly is there a "Pottery Barn" in the Mall?
