I actually made a few quotes myself, though they may already be existing ones (but I don't think so), either that, or they're influenced by existing ones. Any way...

It's better to speak little and say much, than to speak much and say little.

Those great questions; Who, What, Why, Where, When and their derivatives are always simple to ask, but not always that simple to answer...

Normality is for those who want to brand diversity of individuals with an insufficient label...

Then this final one, which is in my sig, which I made (I'm such a modest bastard :p):

"Plans can be very important, for without a plan of strategy, there is no way to account for any variables in battle." - Lt. Commander James Miller, XO, USS Vortex

I like this one so much, though I dunno if the person who quoted it is the original author (who happens to be our almighty leader ;) ), but stilll..

"You never hear a well fed man talk of food." - Devore

Then there's all the other quotes I have:

Know the enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never know peril. - Sun Tzu, The Art of War

When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning or losing are equal. - Sun Tzu, The Art of War

If ignorant of both your enemy and yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril. - Sun Tzu, The Art of War

If for a tranquil mind you seek, These things observe with care: Of whom you speak, to whom you speak, And how, and when and where. - Anonymous

No man deserves punishment for his thoughts. - Anonymous

Whatever you undertake, act with prudence, and consider the consequences. - Anonymous

Write a wise saying and your name will live forever - Anonymous

Part of being sane, is being a little bit crazy. - Janet Long

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.- Robin Williams

There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness. - Friedrich Nietzsche

The supreme irony of life is that hardly anyone gets out of it alive. - Robert Heinlein

Life is a moderately good play with a badly written third act. - Truman Capote

Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must first see inside of you. - Wally 'Famous' Amos

When the character of a man is not clear to you, look at his friends. - Japanese Proverb

It's hard to be nostalgic when you can't remember anything. - Unknown

Reveal not every secret you have to a friend, for how can you tell but that friend may hereafter become an enemy. And bring not all mischief you are able to upon an enemy, for he may one day become your friend. - Saadi

The stupid neither forgive nor forget; the naive forgive and forget; the wise forgive but do not forget. - Thomas Szasz

Then you just have the random IRC quotage:

*Jadz|working goes back to working and letting you boys chat... <KooGooShii> sex sex sex cars cars cars <KooGooShii> ^_^ <Kennett> ^_^ <Terran> ^_^

<Cygnis> ...Whoa... Bad conversation to be jumping into <Kennett> lol, why? <Cygnis> I come back and all the sudden we're talking about strip clubs

<Shooter> hmmm... If I can make it 33 more minutes... I get another 2 points! <Tempus> lol <Kennett> hehe *Shooter (power@65.124.105.Purple-IRC-41956) Quit (Connection reset by peer) <--- He didn't make it :p

<DrThresh> stop doing that <KeneWolf> doing what? <DrThresh> You queried me at the same time I queried you <KeneWolf> lol, i'm psychic ;P ...or is that psycho? :p <DrThresh> prolly both, can't tell from this point :P

"Do you know what 'sorry' means? Do you? Sorry means 'I wont do it again'."

-as roared at me by my mother when I was about seven, and had come in from playing in the puddles for the tenth time in three days, muddy up to the armpits with my runners soaked.

I have to say my definition of 'sorry' is based on that.

I also like "It's never too late to have a happy childhood."

And if I were ever one for poetry, it would be ee cummings:

(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens; only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

This is more like a quote song than anything else, brought to you by the master Baz Luhrmann...

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not
understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded.
But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and
recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before
you and how fabulous you really looked….You’re not as fat as you
    imagine.

Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as
effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing
bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that
never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm
    on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you

    Sing

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with
people who are reckless with yours.

    Floss

Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes
you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with
    yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you
succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

    Stretch

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your
life…the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they
wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year
    olds I know still don’t.

    Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe
you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky
chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t
congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your
choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body,
use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people
think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever
    own..

Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for
    good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the
people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you
should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and
lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you
    knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live
in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

    Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will
philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders.

    Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
    might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
    look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than
    it’s worth.
