Anyone played this, SNK's version of Capcom vs SNK basically, tis very, very good. Anyway, I assume its running on standard Neo Geo board, has it been dumped?

This is one of the most eagerly awaited games in emulation!!!

It was dumped about 2 days after its release.
Its 'not' actually running on neo geo mvs hardware, its arcade release actually runs on a jamma rig. Doesn't really affect the game at all, and the home release will be standard AES cart. They probably did it to stifle the bootleggers in china, plus it bumped the price of the arcade board (cos you had to buy that specific jamma rig with it) to over 1000 dollars compared with a usual MVS cart for about 400-500 dollars.

Either way, as of last weekend, the vast majority of the romset was available without the program roms. All can be downloaded from alt.binaries.emulation.neogeo , haven't checked since the weekend so the program roms may be available. But i doubt it.

Initial reviews from guys in the emu scene after having played the arcade release seem pretty poor. They claim its better than the capcom effort, but not by a whole lot and considering capcom vs. snk was a disgrace, it can't be that great.

BTW, the alt.binaries, isn't so much a link to where to get the rom as it will no doubt cause those of you who look more hassle than its worth :)
