Bikes on Buses

    I was in Chigago recently and noticed that pretty much all downtown buses have bike racks mounted on the front of the bus below the windscreen.

    Would anyone use this in Dublin?

    There wouldn't be enough room on the front of Irish city buses.

    It's a bit pointless really, isn't it. Like you either cycle or go by bus. Why bring your bike on the bus?

    cycle to the bus-stop, get the bus into town, cycle around town.

    in some cities you're allowed to take bikes on the tram - presumably won't happen with the Luas though.
