    Hey Guys,

    Would like to hear from anyone who can answer this question for definite...

    IOL 8GB Cap....Is this for Downloading? Or For Uploading & Downloading?

    As far as i understand it is for both UPLOADING and DOWNLOADING.

    Says something to that effect on the site. Pity is capped on both. :rolleyes:

    The IOL cap is for 8GB in either direction. So if you are at 7.9GB download and 7.9GB upload you're fine.

    As soon as you go over in either direction you start getting charged.

    An interesting point is that you only get charged for the larger amount of the two, either uploading or downloading not both regardless of whether you're over the 8 on both or not!

    A friend of mine works in their ISP team, he was involved in setting up the service and he insists that this is the way the service is designed...

    TBH I'm not convinced that the correct info filters down to the helpdesk staff, or if it does then they still take it up wrong!

    but that's definitely the way the cap is set up......
