Here's the latest info, they're doing a show in Belfast now as well!

    Grand Central's Aim (Live)
October 29th '03 At The Village, Dublin
& October 30th '03 At The Empire, Belfast
    - Special 10-Piece Band Irish Performances.

AIM (aka Andy Turner) plays two exclusive Irish shows with a spectacular 10-piece band later this month!

    Featuring...
Drums, percussion, 2 guitarists, bass, 2 horn players, keys, DJ.

PLUS, on vocals: long-time Aim collaborator, KATE ROGERS, and NIKO*, along with M.C. SPIKEY TEE**

*Niko appears on Mr. Scruff's latest album ('Trouser Jazz') and on Only Child's 'Solitaire'.

She recently released the 'You're My Favourite Music' 12" and is currently putting the finishing touches to her own full debut album (release date tbc)

**Spikey Tee was a member of "the Syndicate" hip hop collective and then moved on to join Jah Wobble.
He has worked with the likes of Mr Scruff, Bomb The Bass and even Rebel MC.

He was also guest vocalist on Morcheeba's Album 'Big Calm' and was the MC for the Blood and Fire Sound System.

The shows will feature the full Aim repertore covering 7 years of recordings for Manchester's Grand Central label with full live performances of tracks from all 3 of his acclaimed albums - 'Cold Water Music', 'Hinterland' and his latest long-player, 'Means of Production (the singles 1995 - 1998)'.

One of his most famous tracks from the Barrow-based beatsmith was inspired by stunt hero Evil Knievel ('Original Stuntmaster') and came from a 7" interview disc that he found on a car boot sale one Sunday morning. Coupled with an old Bobby Womack guitar sample, it is still a timeless classic that has seen a trademark use of film snippets - films being his second love.

He has always been one of the most popular artists on Manchester's Grand Central label with all his early work (Pacific North West EP, Soul Dive and Loopdreams EP) completely sold out and was the subject of many internet vinyl junkies disappointment but have now been compiled onto one compilation for his latest release, 'Means of Production - the singles 1995 - 1998'.

Kate Rogers will also be warming up on the night, performing her own solo material.

Coinciding with the live shows, Kate releases her ‘Welcome EP’ on October 31st.

This is a limited edition sneak preview of Kate Rogers’ debut album ‘St Eustacia’ which will be released in February 2004.

In advance of her debut album release, ‘Kate Rogers Vs Grand Central’ - a compilation featuring all Kate Rogers’ guest vocalist performances for Grand Central is released on Friday week, October 24th.

It includes the Aim singles - ‘Sail’ and ‘The Girl Who Fell Through The Ice’ as well as Rae & Christian’s ‘Not Just Anybody’.
