Today I finally got my eircom installed after much ....badness.Some git in technical support said it
wasnt dialing cuz of a server host log or somthing but then a
most helpfull person said not to put a splitter on that line.
Anywho Im happy so far with it but im wondering if the cap
is upload and download or just download, also i dont have a
mail address with them so how do i check my usage, thx;)

It's both ways. As far as I'm aware, only UTV caps in one direction.

if u can't use the one that they have on their site then u can d/l DU meter and that will do the trick, just do a google of it, i think it might be dumeter.com or something

The cap is on downloads only.
To check the usage, go to http://dslstats.eircom.net and put in the username and password you connect up with.

Has anyone been charged for going over the limit yet???

It seems to be measuring the usage in an incorrect manner again for me this month????!!!!!!

Way under this month, last month i was way over?????????
