LNB Advice Required?

I have recently received a second sky digibox with a FTA card from a friend. I have put the second box in my bedroom. Someone may help to answer the following two questions:

Which twin or Quad LNB brand is better to run two or more digibox off a Sky minidish?

Any tips or advice on replacing the single LNB with a twin or Quad? I will be doing a DIY job myself with a ladder

    Thanks

surprised u got no replies. I assume u have a SKY region one dish and then it is down to cost, twin cheaper than quad but not every twin or quad will fit s8Y dish.

My advice would be get the quad and u are ready for S8y + and, u can keep your 2 boxes and still have sky+ orpossibly accessing the internet. So rune those cables into loft but leave enogh to get to locations.

Look on ebay and here for a quad

Tony at www.satellite.ie also does quad.

The Sky minidish uses a special mount so not just any Quad will do.

    Go for Quad, not Dual.

I notice, Tony, that the Quad minidish LNB is cheaper than when I last looked! Is it the same quality? I'm very tempted!

Yes its exactly the same, the reason its cheaper is that we can buy in bigger quantities as demand increased.
