Just wondering if anyone knows a good site with cheap art supplies like pencils and so on? It doesn't have to be cheap , just good.

you don't give your location, but if in Dublin, you could try
Evans, Saint Mary's Abbey, just off Capel Street. Walking up from the Liffey, it's over to left onto the street with Luas works and first right. Looks like a private yard. Last time I was there it was undergoing renovations, so be prepared. Reasonable prices on many many things. BTW, they close for lunch and are open Mon-Fri only

O'Sullivans Graphics. Off Camden St. Near Bleeding Horse Pub. Big place, caters for professional companies too. Open Mon-Fri. 20% discount to students with a valid student card (eg NCAD, Dun Laoighre, ... )

There is always Easons too. They've several stores around the country. Not the worst place in the world ;)

Of course you did, I just didn't read your post
<mental note>Must get the optic nerve reconnected to what's left of my brain...

I don't know of anyone who has bought art supplies online. Have just had a quick look around, you're going to have to buy in bulk. For example buy a box of 2B pencils, etc. and pay shipping. Paper / canvas is not going to be too cheap to ship coz it's heavy.

Reading between the lines, I guess you're not in Dublin or cannot get to these places during the week.

Tried the Golden Pages and not one of the supplies in the list has a web site. About 10 have email.

Have you tried UK Yellow pages ? There are some websites there?
