Might be able to help you out next month (assuming i get my hands on a digital around the 19th) - as long as your just looking for a receiver.

If you dont get one before then, contact me after the 19th.

Lidl sometimes have analogue receivers and dishes on specials.

Other than that, you could try your local classifieds paper or ebay.

Lidl had them on sale recently and loads have been returned to our local store as people thought they would get the BBC channels on them.
They were € 55 list. will be cheaper now.

If you REALLY stuck and nr Limerick City (Tralee side) I might sort you out with old Pace type. FREE on a come and collect basis.

No LNB or Dish. Those work fine on Digital.

I have two Analogs running 24 x7 for BBC World and CNN on Ch7 and Ch8 on all my TVs.

So they are some use. Hotbird 13 Astra 19.

French Secam on 5W but its B&W on a PAL TV and you need either a box with 22KHz and Universal LNB or standard analog box with "Telecom LNB" or Satcure's 22KHz insertor on old Analog box with Universal LNB.

    Thats the highlight of Analog.

Also ATV transmissions on 1240MHz to 1360MHz directly by isolated 1.3GHz aerial (or dipole on dish) into the F-Connector (no LNB needed).

The direct input on old boxes tunes 950MHz to 1750MHz. On newer Analog boxes it is 750MHz to 2150MHz. An old Sky1D ADX+ will let the newer Analog receivers receive "Video Senders" on 2.4GHz by tuning to 1900MHz.

a question. would any analogue box work. i have a tv that is able to do SECAM as well as PAL. would my old analogue box be good to get a colour picture. this is curiosity more than anything else

Yes. If you can tune to the 12GHz band on 5W.

The RF / audio is different between secam and PAL but on SCART the audio is OK.

3 ways to get the 12GHz in the earlier post.

The Satellite uses a single FM carrier for everything, feeding video with the colour already on it.

The Audio is fed into a 8Ch FM mux with o/ps from 6.5 to 8.?? MHz Obviously maybe only one or two sound channels used

ALBA ISR-7000 Analogue sat receiver/decoder 20 euro, buyer pays postage... its an old box but but was new enough to receive 1D without needing an ADX.
