    Hi Guys,

    This is my first post :)

    Does anyone know will we get to see the entire LOTR extended Edition films back to back in any Irish cinemas this December?

    They are planning to do this in the US on Dec 16, 17:

    good idea. it would get punters in. i would go if it were near to me. if not i'd watch the dvd's before seeing the 3rd one

    there was some talk of UCI doing in in the new year :)

    oh please AW 8 hours big deal the trek fest what was done uci tallaght was 12 hours :)

    Heard someone say that they done this in Ennis last Christmas.

    I'm hoping they do the three back to back this Christmas. Should have the book's read by then, havent seen any of the films yet (by choice, on the off-chance that they'd show the trilogy this year).

    Yeah the Matrix trilogy back to back would also be great :)

    I presume they'd give you decent arse breaks between films!

    What's the best cinema in town these days? I'm sick of Liffey Valley it's gone to the dogs :(

    Someone mentioned UGC.. is that the one on Parnell Street that was once a Virgin cinema?

    Yup. It's recently been totally done up, so it's nice and sparkly now. Get to it quick before the skangers destroy it again!

    Are there any THX certified cinema over here or up the North?

    Never thought about it until I was browsing through a thread in a UK forum the other day and they mentioned how fantasic the new THX cinema is in Leeds or Leicester (or wherever it is)

    Shame the IMAX is gone too - imagine seeing Matrix on that!
